faq

Q. How long till my order ships?

A. Standard processing time on in stock items is 7 to 10 days. you may see the items dispatch quicker but that purely depends on order load and warehouse staffing levels at any particular time of the year.

Q. Customer service seems slower than it used to be, why is that?

A. We appologise for that, we have had to resport to bot responce services fot the time being due to the loss of our customer service team in a fatal car accident travelling to a confrence. It is hard enought to replace one member with specific knowledge and personable skills but 5 staff at the same time is proving to be difficult.

Q. Why is an item that is freely avialiable on other stores a VIP only item here?

A. As a collector store we offer our VIP customers free access to all preorders  and new stock for 2 weeks prior to making it available to the general public. This ensures our VIP customers have ample opportunity to secure stock ahead of the general public on our store. This is specifically important for low volume items that we may be bringing in specially from another part of the world.

Q. Do you do free shipping, my order did not add shipping at the checkout?

A. We do not offer free shipping, shipping is calculated at the checkout for in stock items. If you have purchased a preorder item the shipping fees will be defered until your item is in stock and ready for dispatch.  At that time you will receive a shipping invoice to be paid for the shipment of your order. You are required to pay this invoice for your items to be sent.

Q. Why can't i use Paypal for preorders?

A.. Paypal is a payment option with time restrictions for your purchase and the guarantees it offers. This is not compatible with preorder items as the cover period for issues will most likely expire before the item is released by the manufacturer. Additionally, PayPal does not abide by Australian consumer guidelines. This flaw is often exploited by "unscrupulous customers" to defraud the system and can lead to the termination of the service or, worse, the vendor's bankruptcy. To avoid this potential issue, the board has chosen to restrict the use of PayPal to in-stock items only.

Q. What should I do if I believe my item has been damaged in transit or is missing some contents?

A.  Firstly, if the item is damaged and the shipper is not ensure you did not order a damaged grade item on your invoice. We insure all your orders to make sure you are never out of pocket due to third-party damage. IAW Austposts processes you need to take the item and packaging to your nearest Post Office for assessment and advice on the next steps. Do not accept that the package is not suitable for transit as this is always the first response to discourage claims.

Q. Are the images used the actual item for sale?

A. All images unless specified are manufacturer supplied promotional images and may vary from the supplied product. The exception to this is if we are promoting graded, autographed or second hand items, in ths case the description will state actual item displayed, and we will endeavour to show any defects prsent on the item.

Q. What do each of the grade standards mean?

  • Collector- means it has been individually assessed by trained assessors the meet the collector grading scale requirements of 80+ or better
  • Std - as it comes from the shipper from the manufacturer
  • Dmg or Sub Std - the card stock or packaging has damage not reflective of acceptable collector items. Figures will be undamaged and suitable for out-of-box collectors. this stock is sold at cost plus GST.
  • New Old - is a term we use for items we source from third-party warehouses and sellers including toy fairs that are collector grade but have not come directly from the factory or may be directly from another collector's inventory.

Q. Do you do wholesale?

A. No, we no longer do wholesale account sales.

Q. I can't buy an item, it says it is cart locked what does that mean?

A. We have started to cart lock items instead of preordering as customers continue to mix preorder and instock items. Unfortunately our Ecommerce platform does not allow us to stop this happening in spite of all our efforts, so we have had to go down the locked item path to address this problem. The description on an item that has a lock symbol on it indicates the date it will be available for purchase. There is no need to worry about preorders on our store, as we are importers, if were advertise the stock it will be at the best prices we can deliver and it will be in quantities reflective of Social media demand and feedback, if you think an item is great and you really want one let us know and it will help us ensure we have enought to go around.

Q.If I place a pre order and change my mind can i cancel it?

A. No, you can not. As a VIP member you can for the first 24 hours, after that  you are contractually committed ..

Q. What does collector grade mean?

A. All figures are collector grade including broken ones, it just depends on what you collect or the rarity of the item. A collector-grade item does not mean it is free of defects it means it has been assessed against a standard and considered collector quality. For our store, we have chosen to band grade the commonly accepted high-grade collector bands of 7.5 to 9.5 and refer to them as collector grade. See the "about us" section for a detailed description of what items may be in the specific categories.

Q. I tried to buy stock and it wont let me have more than 2 of an item.

A. We are a collector store and import specifically for the collector market, the hard-to-find and exclusive toys. To ensure all collectors get a fair bite of the apple, we limit item purchases to 2 of any item, so there is a better distribution of the stock to all collectors. VIP members may order more if provision is available to do so.

Q. Can I just do multiple orders for the same product to get atround that limit.

A. when our staff see a customer placing multiple orders for the same product that exceed the purchase limits, the orders will be flagged and additional orders will be cancelled and refunded less 10 per cent for wasting the staffs time. Additionally, repeat offenders will be blocked from purchasing for a period of 24 months. (this blocking includes name, email, phone number, previously used payment options and address). Known and identified resellers will be tagged and limited to 1 unit per item.

Q. Why is the price different at checkout than on the main home page or in the search engine results?

A. This store is not a normal retail store it is a collector store and as such offers many grade variations on stoked items, from loose to collector grade and everything in between. Prices on each item have a "grade selection tab" that when selected will show the grades and appropriate price for that item and if it is in stock or not. If the variant you are after is sold out it will not show up on the drop-down as an option.

Q. Why are your prices cheaper or dearer than other retail stores?

A. We operate on a smaller percent markup on cost rather than RRP or eBay prices, so we don't discount we bring the items to you as cheap as we can get them. This allows us to turn over older and collector items from all around the world that may be hard to find or completely unavailable in retail outlets. Most toy retailers have a 50 to 100 percent plus a markup on wholesale, we do not operate that way we prefer small markups and larger turnover, stock benefits no one sitting on a shelf or in a warehouse.

Q. Why do I see an items price change if you only charge 20 percent on cost?

A. We try to pass on savings to the customer so if we get new stock in all existing stock of that item is dollar averaged to adjust the items for the current market, this usually means a price reduction but not always.

Q. If you only add 20 percent why are there so many price options on a figure?

A. All stock is purchased at a know quality level but, all stock is not created equal. Some is damaged in packing, some in shipping etc... loose and damaged stock is sold at a discounted rate below our Std mark up.

Q. Why are Overseas exclusive figures dearer than they are sold for overseas?

A. Because they are retailer exclusives they have to be purchased by our buyers at retail and imported to Australia. Then because we are members of the ATA we have to have the items certified as suitable for sale and insured as they have not been previously certified for sale in the Australian market by the Manufacturer. This adds costs that are not incurred by eBay sellers, who effectively sell into our market illegally, as they have not complied with Australian Consumer and Safety Regulations.

Q. Your prices seem cheap are they genuine items?

A. We only sell genuine licensed products through our store. The only exception to that is if we offer fan art or custom items that are not included in those licensing requirements. We have trained buyers who assess all products for authenticity, and they remain current across the new knockoff lines being offered as real in e-stores and social media platforms that do so in breach of their own guidelines. You will not receive a fake item from our store, and we offer a 100 percent refund guarantee on that statement.

Q. Do you buy collections?

A. Yes we do, but think of us as a convienient disposal source not your golden ticket to retirement. We will pay a fair price for your collection not what you think you may get on ebay or marketplace. We are not scalpers and do not support that industry in any way. We ask for good HD Photos and of the items and we can do a review to estimate the wholesale value of the collection. Remember, if you sell on Ebay, you will need to add around 20 per cent to your price to cover the listing and selling fees, and don't be fooled into thinking there are none!

Q. You have a lot of different stuff from all over the world where does it all come from?

A. We are a business co-op made up of buyers and retailers from all over the world. Subsequently, collectors benefit because we are able to source items from all markets of the world not just Australian and US wholesalers. We also get access to collectors and networks that the everyday buyer does not have through our associates. We are always bringing new and old items to our marketplace in an endeavor to help collectors get their holey grails!

Q. I saw you had some autographed stuff how do I know it is real?

A. All our autographed items are certified as real and come with a COA. If the item does not have a COA we get the item certified using Australias leading Memorabbilla Association.

Q. How do you price your older and loose figures?

A We have several pricing avenues available to us that we pay for, we do not use free services as they are unreliable. We note item trends and advise our collectors if they are paying too much for an item in current markets based on demand and trends. We do not rely on scalper-skewed data from Facebook marketplaces or eBay. Based on our network of collectors we are able to accurately monitor professional auction houses and retail sales around the world and our pricing is based on real-time actual value not inflated estore data.

Q. Do you sell collections for people?

A. Short answer is yes! We sell several ways on a collectors behalf, but most often it is by consignment. Some high value items are best left in their secure facilities until a sale is acquired, so we list them and act as a mediatory between client and customer, thus ensuring your protections under australian consumer law when dealing often with overseas sellers. We will import and insure the items at your cost which will be determined in consultation before you are committed to purcahse.
